CLIPPER KYTHIRA

* We have received reports that Bulk carrier CLIPPER KYTHIRA, (IMO:9663116) experienced a fire in its cargo hold no.5 at Southampton docks, UK on 28 April 2024.

* It is reported that the crew initially attempted to extinguish the fire with assistance from the local Coastguard rescue team.

* Reports indicate that the fire remained alight on 29 April and the firefighting operation may be protracted.

* It is possible that General Average/Salvage and Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.

* We therefore recommend that you contact us if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
